Woman Detained for Samuel Cosme’s Murder

News Five has confirmed that a woman is in police custody tonight in connection with the fatal stabbing of forty-three-year-old Samuel Cosme. The woman, believed to be the main suspect, first came in contact with Cosme about two years ago. Cosme’s family told News Five that they know her identity. They say that the woman is more than a friend to the victim. Investigators are gathering enough evidence in order to charge her for Cosme’s death. Cosme was found dead with more than twenty stab wounds early on Monday morning off the Phillip Goldson Highway near the Haulover Bridge. Investigators found blood in the area along with Cosme’s slippers, pants, and red Ford Ranger pickup. He was last seen by the family on Sunday before he left his home on Mahogany Street Extension en route to meet coworkers.
