8-year-old dies in weekend traffic accident

Two people, one of them a young boy, are dead tonight as a result of an accident in the Mountain Pine Ridge on Sunday. According to police, around 4:40 p.m., a Toyota pickup being driven by Riaan Webb of San Ignacio overturned near the D’Silva Forest Station. There were other people in the truck, and while five walked away from the accident with only minor cuts and bruises, two of them, twenty-five year old John Zetina and eight year old Brandon Acott, both of San Ignacio, died as a result of head and body injuries. According to San Ignacio police, initial investigations revealed that Zetina and Acott were travelling in the back of the truck when it overturned.
