Funny money hits Belizean market again

And since we’re already on the topic of money, we thought it wise to tell you that today, the Central Bank sent out a press release warning the Belizean public that once again, funny money is on the market. According to the Bank, fake Belizean bills are in circulation in several denominations. There are several security features you should look for like the George Babb Sleeping Giant watermark in the right hand corner on the front of each note and of course, the vertical security thread to the left of each note. For more details on how to avoid being conned into accepting counterfeit currency, please contact your local bank or visit the Central Bank for a list. If you come across any of the counterfeit notes, please contact the nearest police station immediately.
