Re-Registration Update: 81K Applications Received, So Far
Eighty-one thousand, five hundred and fifty-three re-registration applications have been received by the Elections and Boundaries Department. Between July twenty-night and August fourth, eleven thousand, five hundred and forty-four persons submitted their applications. This is a decrease of about four thousand applications when compared to the previous week. According to the Elections and Boundaries Department, there are more applications being received from persons living in rural Belize, than urban areas. This is a trend similar to the 1997 re-registration of Electors Exercise.
