Music Camp 2018 Comes to an End

A two-week music camp came to an end today at the Bliss Center for Performing Arts. The camp saw the participation of more than fifty music lovers who learned to play different types of instruments such as the violin and the trumpet. The course was made possible by the Music Director for the National Institute for Culture and History, Colville Young Junior. According to Young, the camp allowed the students to grow as musicians.

“It does allow them to develop a talent and a skill over their holidays. That is always a big plus. The hope is that eventually you will be able to have musicians at events and it would have to be able to play recordings of the anthem and stuff. We will be able to play it live. This is going to surprise. The most important thing for them is parents and also corporate sponsorship. In other if the community itself sees that this is something good for the kids and they are behind it, the kids follow through with it. But if the community or the parents aren’t to very…then it does not happen.”

“How would you describe the interactions with the kids and the instructors and their reaction to the programme?”

Colville Young Jr.

“It was excellent. The kids loved it. Even the teachers enjoyed it too. It was very good, excellent.”
