Gang of killers still at large

Corozal police have come up cold in their investigation into last week’s shooting death of Susanna Petkau and rape of a young woman from Orange Walk. Police say that they have yet to detain any of the four men involved in the crimes although they believe they know several likely suspects. Photos of these men are being shown to the surviving victims of the vicious attacks in order to establish a positive ID. Meanwhile, officials at Northern Regional Hospital confirmed that Susanna Petkau’s husband, fifty-six year old Enrique, has been transferred to a Merida hospital to receive advanced treatment for the six gunshots wounds he sustained during the robbery and murder that took place on Thursday afternoon. The couple was attacked while en route to their farm in Shipyard.
