Thieves Make Off with Flat Screen TVs, Cash and a Vehicle in Ladyville Home Invasion

Alejandro Cowo

A cabdriver is the latest victim of a brazen home invasion in Ladyville where three men reportedly entered his home on Ocean Jack Avenue while he was asleep and proceeded to rob him.  Cornelius Burke told police that whilst asleep someone placed their hands on his mouth, while two others demanded that he disclose the location of a safe.  When he told them that he knew nothing of what they were talking about, the men helped themselves to six hundred dollars, as well as six flat screen TVs, before making off in his van.

“On Wednesday, August 15th, 2018 at about 2:30 in the morning, Ladyville police responded to an aggravated burglary at Ocean Jack Avenue in Ladyville Village where they spoke to Cornelius Burke, a taxi driver who reported that whilst he was inside of his room sleeping, he felt someone covering his mouth.  When he opened up his eyes, he saw a male person standing beside him, asking him where is the chest.  He responded to them that he does not have a chest.  Thereafter, two other male persons came in the room, they tied him up and they went and they ransacked the entire house and stolen from there were six flat-screen televisions, six hundred dollars in cash and his van was also stolen.  So far police have detained nobody and nobody is a suspect.”
