Accused Murderer Released on Bail
Accused murderer, thirty-three-year-old Jermaine Garnett is out on bail tonight. He was offered bail by Supreme Court Justice Herbert Lord to the tune of forty thousand dollars. The bail was granted on the condition that Garnett is not to interfere with any of the witnesses related to the case. He was also ordered to present himself on every date that the case is called up. Garnett was also told that he is not to be on the streets between eight thirty at night to six o’clock the following morning for the duration of the case. If he violates these conditions his bail will be revoked and he will be remanded back behind bars. Garnett is one of three persons charged for the 2012 murder of nineteen-year-old Raheem Requeña. Also charged for the same crime were Kenneth Barrow who was released on bail earlier this month and Cassian Bennett who remains behind bars. Requeña was shot four times while on Kut Avenue in December 2012. Attorney Anthony Sylvestre represented Garnett.
