No Arrests in Copycat Robberies

The armed robbery of seventy-nine-year-old retired educator, Harold Williams, on Monday afternoon downstairs of his home at the corners of Dunn and Landivar streets is presumably the result of the retiree being pursued upon leaving Scotiabank on the Philip Goldson Highway.  The incident harkens back to a recent robbery on July twenty-seventh during which a project manager was similarly followed to his worksite in Belama Phase Two and robbed of a payroll.  Williams was relieved of fifteen thousand dollars in cash after the thieves broke the driver’s side window of his Honda CRV.  In the case of thirty-five-year-old Jaime Dominguez, four male persons alighted a Ford Explorer after blocking his lane and proceeded to rob him of a manila envelope containing sixteen thousand, seven hundred and seventy-five dollars.  The men also took from him personal cash, cell phones and a laptop all at an additional value of nineteen thousand dollars.  In speaking with News Five on Monday afternoon, William’s wife said that the incident unfolded so quickly that her aging husband was not able to identify his attackers.  Thus far police have made no arrests in either of the two cases.
