A Replacement Teacher has been Identified for the Primary School
Late this evening, the principal of Mabilha Government School confirmed that the management had identified a replacement for Angel Cal and has agreed to resolve the issue. Chairman Mateo Salam read an excerpt from a follow-up letter sent to management earlier this year.
On the Phone: Mateo Salam, Chairman, Mabilha Village
“This letter serves as a follow-up to the later dated September twenty-eighth, 2017 concerning Mr. Angel Cal, absent at Mabilha Government School. In that letter, we the villagers expressed our grave concern and also requested the immediate removal of Mr. Cal from our school. Since then, we haven’t heard anything from you, except the local manager who came to calm us down. We were hoping that things would be better, nevertheless, we found out that we were just beating around the bush. We feel that you are very disrespectful to our letter. Nothing has changed, Mr. Cal is still here. He comes when he wants and teaches when he wants. We have been neglected, our children have been neglected from the quality education that we hear about.”
