Story Picture
I don’t know how much longer we can do this same story, but until someone picks a winner, we’ll have to just stay with it every Wednesday and Saturday. In case you’re not a player, that’s when those magic ping-pong balls start to fly.

No one knows for sure that they’ll win, but everyone who has bought a lotto ticket for tonight’s draw is hoping for that special number to play. The jackpot now stands at one hundred and fifteen thousand dollars, the biggest prize in lotto history.

Carol Young, Manager, Tropical Gaming Co.

“Never in my wildest dreams would I have ever believe this because the highest we have ever got was a hundred and five thousand last October.”

People have been spending from two dollars to a couple hundred on tonight’s game. But the players maintain it’s not the amount of cash you spend, but just how lucky you are that determines if you win or lose.

Lotto Buyer #1

“If you go and pick out this and pick out this, you no know what wah play, anything come out on the picking when you pick. So why should I pick special numbers, its luck and chance. I’m an old gambler from Panama days.”

Carol Young

“Sit down carefully, pick out your numbers. If you can’t figure out a number, get a quick pick. A lot of people do win by purchasing quick pick. Remember, if you don’t get in the game, then you can’t win.”

That’s just one of the messages that Tropical Gaming Company has been promoting since the jackpot increased. Other measures have also been undertaken to improve the service countrywide and increase the chances of winning.

Carol Young

“We have been doing a lot of media ads, we have been issuing flyers countrywide, we’ve been at the agricultural show, we’ve been telling people, we know the agents are doing the same thing. We have been giving agents who have enough manpower, more printers so they can assist customers and sell quicker.”

Young would like to remind customers that if you do not win the jackpot to still check your numbers because there is a chance you may have won a free ticket or even some money.

Carol Young

“A lot of people don’t like to know that they haven’t won the jackpot, but I’m begging you please check your tickets. After all, you can get back your two dollars when you win a free ticket. You can get an additional amount of money when you win match three, and match four is the same thing.”
