Mexican Federal Police Orchestra Arrives to Perform in Belize

The landing of a Mexican police plane at the Philip Goldson International Airport caused a stir earlier today.   The plane is a Boeing 727 which brought the Mexican Federal Police orchestra to perform tonight at the Winds Orchestra of Mexico Concert hosted by the Mexican Embassy. The size of the band and their equipment did not allow them on commercial flights.  The sixty-five-member band will be departing after the concert held at the Civic Centre to mark Mexico’s Independence Day.  The orchestra will be heading to Washington DC where it will be holding another performance.  The band is led by Licenciada Luz María García Rivas, Director General of International Police Affairs, who is representing the Commissioner of the Federal Police of Mexico.  The concert is a public event and is expected to be attended by thousands.
