Manuel Heredia Jr., Area Representative, Belize Rural South
“I have been working together with Chairlady Rosado to make sure that the one with the heights of building. I have spoken with Minister Finnegan and asked him that whenever they will do approval to consult with the Chairlady because there are policies that are being implemented. We would not want anything more than five storey that we already have here all along the coastal waters of Belize. Five storeys, to me, would be more than the acceptable height. On the other thing with transport, I am pleading to my colleague Minister Castro to make sure we can put a committee the way it was done in the past with local authorities and a representative from his ministry. I believe at this point that San Pedro and Caye Caulker are not happy about the way the set up is. I myself am not happy and hopefully we can change that in the near future so there is more local control.”
