How Did Belize Fair Off in CSEC?

Patrick Faber

How did Belize fair off in the 2018 Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate, better known as CXC? As we reported a few weeks ago, several schools were not in receipt of their grades, despite the official results having been landed in the country. Some schools are still without their results. But what is causing the delay? Today, Minister of Education, Patrick Faber says that the performance of the students will be addressed at the upcoming CSEC Award Ceremony.

“I know distribution has started; we’re not sure if it is completed. We still have some schools where they are saying that they haven’t received their results. Any update on that?”

Patrick Faber, Minister of Education

“I don’t know what the cause of such a thing might be. As far as I know when the results land, they land for everybody and when we start the distribution, it ought to be for everybody so that is something that I would have to investigate. And then we do have the national CSEC award ceremony that is going to come up so at that time we will be able to comment much more on the performance of our students.”
