The 5th Annual Soca & Culture Festival; Artists Arrive in the Jewel

The fifth annual Soca and Culture Festival takes place on twentieth night as one of the celebration activities used to recognize Belize’s independence. Every year, it sees a line-up of Belizean and Caribbean artists perform on the stage. TR Shine, Supa G and a number of Belizean disc jockeys will join Caribbean soca sensations Patrice Roberts, Kes the Band, Rupee and Shal Marshall. All except for Roberts touched down in the Jewel today and a press conference was held at the Ramada Princess Hotel. While we heard from the artists, we also spoke with Music Ambassador Shyne Barrow about the importance of the festival.
