Shot to the Head, Harvey Trapp Fighting for His Life
A Santa Elena resident is tonight fighting for his life at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital following a shooting on Saturday night in Santa Elena. Harvey Trapp was shot in the head just before nine p.m. as he and several friends socialized at a house on Santa Teresita Street in that western town. The twenty-seven-year-old was reportedly involved in a brawl hours earlier, but around eight-fifty-five, two men rode up on a motorcycle and one of them opened fire on the group, hitting Trapp in the left ear. According to police, Trapp was able to identify his shooter before he slipped into a coma.
ACP Joseph Myvett, Head, National Crimes Investigation Branch
“Six persons were socializing and during the process, two persons rode up on a motorcycle, one of whom got off the cycle and fired several shots towards the direction of where the persons were socializing and one of those shots caught Mister Harvey Trapp to the left ear. As a result he was transported to the San Ignacio Community Hospital and later to the K.H.M.H. where he is now on a mechanical ventilator and he is in a critical condition.”
