Fire Destroys Home in Belize City
Here in Belize City, a fire wiped out a family home in Belize City on Jane Usher Boulevard, but fortunately there was no loss of life. The family of four, however, lost everything in the blaze which erupted sometime between midnight and one o’clock this morning. The family says that the fire started in a bedroom and the flames quickly engulfed the rest of the wooden house. Today we spoke with one of the owners who believes it was deliberately set; Kendra Smith says that there was a disagreement with someone in the neighborhood and that is why her house was burnt down.

“To which part of the house did the fire start and do you know what started the fire?”
Voice of: Kendra Smith
“It start from my room and I know that it wasn’t an electrical problem. I know that it is arson because of a situation I had with some people in the area like about a month ago or so. Everybody tell me the same thing and when my sista call she tell me that the fire started in my room, so it is like me the persons wanted to go after to do what they had to do. After that the fire start to spread to the whole house after that and nothing we neva save.”
