Two arrested for banana farm murder
While Placencia police try to solve one mystery, another has been resolved. The body found Saturday in a drain at the Sagitun banana farm has been identified as twenty-seven year old Salvadoran, Jose Angel Nunez. Nunez was a worker at the same farm. Two men have been arrested in connection with the death: eighteen year old Alfredo Ical of San Roman Village and twenty-one year old Domingo Mes of Red Bank. According to police, the three men were drinking together when an argument broke out between them, resulting in the fatal attack on Nunez. Ical and Mes have been charged with murder and conspiracy.
