Senator Michael Peyrefitte has been hitting the ground in the Port Loyola Division meeting U.D.P. voters in his attempt to cement his candidacy as the U.D.P.’s Standard Bearer. Today, Peyrefitte told the media that he hopes to be victorious but if he isn’t, he will respect the decision of the voters.
Mike Peyrefitte, U.D.P. Candidate, Port Loyola
“I hope to win the convention and I will project to you what will happen in November fifth. I don’t know what will happen. The people will go out, on that day go out and they will vote which of the four us they prefer. Whatever the result is, I will accept that result. I think it is disrespectful to people to say that you as politician you have to spend so much which means tyou are saying that the people are for sale, which means that the people sell out themselves which I do not what to associate myself with. I believe when I campaign and talk to people, I try to sell them what I want to do for the division. If they like that they will vote for me on November fourth.
Peyrefitte is set to go against former Belize City Councilor Dean Samuels, AC. Castillo and Phillip Willoughby.
