Thieves hit Queen St. grocery
Over the weekend a Belize City business, just up the street from the Queen Street police station, was held up at gunpoint and robbed. Manoj Sharma, owner of Save-A-Lot supermarket, says the incident unfolded around 7:00 that night when four men entered the establishment. Sharma says three of the men were armed with handguns and a knife, while the fourth stood near the door at the entrance as guard. The thieves ransacked the store and stole approximately a thousand dollars from the cash register before fleeing on foot. No arrests have been made.
