Charged for Unlawful Sexual Assault, Magdiel Ceas, Granted Bail
Also appearing before Justice Lucas was thirty-year-old Magdiel Ceas, charged for the unlawful sexual assault of a missing girl half his age. Ceas is originally from San Jose Village, Orange Walk, but has been living in Placencia for some time now as a construction worker. On October eighth, he was charged for the crime in Orange Walk where the incident purportedly happened. He was remanded until December eighteenth, but today, attorney Dickie Bradley applied on his behalf and Ceas received bail in the sum of seven thousand five hundred. There was no objection to bail by Prosecutor, Portia Staine-Ferguson, but there are conditions. Ceas is obligated to attend the Orange Walk Magistrate’s Court in December and any other date as the magistrate commands. He is also to report to the Placencia Police Substation every Friday until the case is disposed of and is not to interfere with any of the prosecution witness.
