Monsignor Dorrick Wright ordained as bishop
It’s now official. For only the second time in twenty years, the Roman Catholic Church in Belize has ordained a local as Bishop. During ceremonies held on Thursday afternoon, Monsignor Dorrick Wright was ordained as a Bishop. The principal consecrator in the event was the Most Reverend Osmond Peter Martin, while the co-consecrators were the Most Reverend Giacinto Berloco, Papal Nuncio to El Salvador and Belize and the Most Reverend Edgerton Clarke, Archbishop of Kingston, Jamaica.
