Dangriga man killed in traffic accident

The Stann Creek Valley Road has once again been the scene of a fatal traffic accident. On Wednesday night sixty-four year old Phillip Benguche was killed when a car crashed into him as he stood on the roadside talking to a friend in a parked vehicle. Driver of the moving vehicle, twenty year old Clinton McClaughin, was heading toward Dangriga when he ran into Benguche and the parked car near mile one and a half. Both Benguche and McClaughin were taken to the Southern Regional Hospital where Benguche was pronounced dead on arrival. McClaughin, who remains in serious but stable condition, is being questioned by police.
