Fire leaves family of four homeless
Also on the Northern Highway, a fire at around two this morning in the Ladyville area has left a family of four homeless. The incident occurred at mile thirteen and totally gutted a one flat wooden structure measuring forty by fifty feet. One of the occupants, Romero Vasquez, says he was awakened by the intense heat and when he got up he discovered that the house was on fire. Vasquez managed to get his wife and three children out of the burning house without injury. However, they did not save any of their belongings. Investigations are still ongoing to determine the cause of the blaze, but when he awoke, Vasquez noticed that the flames were coming from the ceiling. The house was owned by Luis Escobar, the Chief of Security at the Phillip Goldson International Airport.
