No Leads for Eric Staine’s Murder
Police are nowhere closer to solving the November eighteenth murder of Eric Staine. The twenty-one-year-old Belize City barber was shot and killed on Sunday night at the intersection of Krooman Road and the George Price Highway. But police have still not been able to establish a motive for the crime nor has anyone been arrested. Inspector Wilfredo Ferrufino of the Crimes Investigation Branch made a brief statement on where the investigation is at this time.
Insp. Wilfredo Ferrufino, C.I.B., Belize City
“We had two persons detained in regards to Mister Staine’s murder. They were interviewed and subsequently released from custody. No one has been charged; the investigation continues.”
