Sugah City’s Central Park is ready for Christmas

Orange Walk Town Council is getting ready for Christmas! Today, we found the Council’s employees hard at work getting the Central Park ready for the holidays. The council is hosting its annual tree lighting ceremony which will feature entertainment, Santa Claus and lots of fun activities on Saturday evening at six. Mayor Kevin Bernard says he wants residents to come out and celebrate in his Sugah City:

“Our team has decided to bring more life to Central Park for this holiday season. If you take a look at the park you will find a lot of character displays out there. Every year we try to do our best to enhance, for the kids especially, the decorations in our park. We have several themes: Frozen, Grinch and others. But it is all work done by employees of the Council. I must thank Gian Cal, the artist behind this. Fareedi Riverol for spearheading this committee and all the ladies and those behind the scenes working together to make sure our Christmas Tree lighting ceremony tomorrow goes off with a bang. Our Central Park, I think will be one of the best central parks in this entire country. I want to wish all our Orange Walkenos and Belizeans a safe and blessed holidays. The ceremony starts at six tomorrow evening. I will give the main address and there will be some entertainment. There will be Santa Claus in the park, in fact, Santa will be here every weekend leading up to Christmas, giving the children sweets, taking pictures with the children and the entire set up is very nice. People can come out here and take pictures and interact with each other. It costs a lot of money and so we always ask people to take care of it as well.”
