2 Men Perish in Traffic Accident in Northern Belize
Two men lost their lives over the weekend as a result of a road traffic accident. They are twenty-nine-year-old Jose Bacab of San Pablo Village and thirty-six-year-old Samuel Gonzalez of San Juan Village. The duo was on a motorcycle on Saturday night, travelling from San Victor Village towards San Narciso Village. Coming from the opposite direction in a Toyota van were twenty-seven-year-old Jose Coc and his seven-year-old daughter when the head-on collision occurred.

“Coc reported that while en route to San Narciso Village, a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction served into his lane causing a head-on collision. At the time the motorcycle was driven by one Samuel Gonzalez, thirty-six-years of Orange Walk and he was accompanied by Jose Bacab, twenty-nine-years, also of San Jose Village. According to information Jose Bacab died at the scene while Gonzalez died while being transported to the Corozal Community Hospital.”
Coc has been issued with a notice of intended prosecution.
