Int’l Financial Services Commission Finds a New Home
The International Financial Services Commission has a new home; it is the Gian Gandhi Building in Belmopan. The IFSC was previously in the Sir Edney Cain Building which underwent renovation and is now named after the late Gian Ghandi, who was actually the first director of the Commission. Ghandi passed away a few years ago and had worked in the government service for a span of thirty years. The ceremony for the launch of the new headquarters took place on Thursday. The IFSC was established in 1999 and Claude Haylock is its Director General and Deputy Chairman.
