Ivor Neal – Gone Without a Trace

There is also very little progress to report on the disappearance of Ivor “Iverson” Neal.  The whereabouts of the KBH security guard is unknown since he was last seen a little over a week ago, near the outskirts of Belmopan.  Speculation is widespread and the family of the missing twenty-three-year-old has its own theory as to why their loved one has not been seen or heard from since December eleventh.  Today, investigators shared their own perspective on Neal’s disappearance.  Assistant Superintendent of Police Alejandro Cowo told the media that Iverson may have retreated into hiding to avoid a possible confrontation among feuding members of his family.

“We spoke to the family members on Wednesday and they are coming with a different, everybody is coming with a different story and that is something that the police is looking at.  We know that the last sighting of him was at El Rancho in the Belmopan area.  We believe that he is still alive.  As we discussed with the family members, we know that they are going through some dispute amongst themselves and hence the reason we believe that probably he might be hiding from them to avoid certain confrontation.  We do not think that anything has happened to him, but he is somewhere and I know that there are people that know where he is.  We are trying to communicate with his friends, were given a name of a friend.  We went and we spoke to him and he mentioned that yes, he had informed the family that he was there with them but when we interviewed him, he said he made a mistake that he was there with him before he went missing.  But we know that there is something that is happening between the family members and I think the investigator has called out to have all of them together so that we can finding exactly what is happening with this young boy.”
