Iverson Neal’s Family Appeals to the Public to Help Find Him

Iverson Neal

The family of missing man Iverson Neal says that, contrary to police reports, they fear he is dead. Today family members told the media that they don’t believe the twenty-three-year-old is in hiding over a conflict because there is no feud within the family. The family alleges that the girlfriend knows more than she is saying because she has been giving them conflicting stories about Neal’s whereabouts. They say they want closure, but are concerned because the authorities say that Neal is just lying low somewhere and losing precious time to find him. Neal was reported missing on Sunday afternoon. Earlier this week, it was reported that the security-guard was seen in the vicinity of Saint Matthews Village and El Rancho on the outskirts of Belmopan. In an interview with the press today, the family appealed to the public for help and refuted claims that Neal was mentally challenged.

“We are here to clarify the allegations made about my nephew and the broad statement made last night. We want to specify that we don’t know – when they say the family – we want him to be specific about the family they are referring to – the girl’s family or our family? Because there is no inner dispute where Iverson would just get up and leave, he has never done this. In regards to the allegations, as well, where the young lady is stating that my nephew is mentally challenged or has any kind of issues whatsoever.”

“In your opinion he is mentally sound and stable?”

Nessie Rivero

“Yes. He is. Yes, he is. And that is why I went to talk to other people so that they can see we are not being biased just because he is our family.”

“So, you don’t believe he is in hiding at this time?”

Nessie Rivero

“No, we don’t because he called. Here is the mom. He called them. Every time we talked with her when she did call, nothing ever added up. It was one lie after the other; one lie after the other.”

Andrea Polanco

“So, with all of this that you have heard, you fear that he is dead?”

“Right at this moment we feel as if he is dead because we haven’t heard from him and this isn’t my brother. For the police to take this case as something to just go around and say there is confidence and it is written in stone that my brother is crazy – we don’t have anything showing that my brother is crazy.”

“So, now at this point, what are you hoping to get from the authorities with respect to finding your son?”

“I just the ask the public if anybody saw or heard anything, please let us know because I just want my son to come home. If he is dead, at least just give me a hint or tell us something that we can find him and bring him home and give him a proper burial because he doesn’t deserve that.”
