72 lbs of Weed Found in Shawville Area, Cayo

A joint operation on Saturday resulted in police discovering more than seventy pounds of marijuana. Police say that the operation was conducted near the Casa Maya Road of the Shawville area of San Ignacio Town. The operation led to the discovery of seventy-one point seven-five pounds of marijuana. “As a result, they found five big plastic bags containing cannabis. The bags were taken to the station and weighed and they amounted to almost seventy-two pounds of suspected cannabis. No one was in the area at the time. Police has an idea more or less who the amount of cannabis might belong to. Nobody was in the area so it was labeled as found property.”
