Man in court on firearm charge, 2 days after pleading on other charge

Story PictureAlso in court, thirty-three year old Nathaniel Thomas pleaded guilty to Handling Stolen Goods on Monday and today he was back before a magistrate. This time he is facing the charge of Aggravated Assault with a Firearm. Thomas opted for a not guilty plea but he was not offered bail because of the firearm offence and he was remanded until June twenty-third. Thirty-one year old Harrison Flores, Thomas’ neighbour, claims that at around eleven-thirty on Tuesday morning, he caught the accused trespassing in his yard. According to Flores, he confronted Thomas, who then left and returned with a black pistol. Thomas reportedly pointed the gun in his neighbour’s face, threatened to shoot him and then left. And this won’t be Thomas’ last day in court because he also has a case of Arson pending trial in the Supreme Court.
