Four charged in San Ignacio beating

Meanwhile police say they have arrested and charged four young men for their involvement in a bar fight in San Ignacio that left another man in a coma. Nineteen year old Darwin Mendez, twenty-three year old Calvin Welch, twenty year old Willy Aguirre and a sixteen year old have all been charged with dangerous harm and damage to property. It is alleged the four were part of a gang of young men who viciously beat twenty-one year old Rodrick Matura on Sunday in San Ignacio. Matura was admitted to the K.H.M.H. in a critical condition, but was flown to Merida earlier today for medical treatment.
