11-year-old dies in weekend accident
A traffic accident on the Western Highway has claimed the life of an eleven-year-old boy and left eight others in hospital. According to police, eleven-year-old Clint Price was travelling with family members to Santa Elena just before midnight on Sunday, when the Nissan pickup he was travelling in rear ended another truck between miles fifty-seven and fifty-eight in Ontario Village. Price sustained serious head and body injuries and was pronounced dead on arrival at the Belmopan Hospital. The Nissan’s other passengers, identified as Alton Berry, Ernest, Tanya, George, Ian and Benita Price, were rushed to the Belmopan Hospital and have been admitted to ward with head and body injuries. The passengers of the other truck, Benson Ramclam and Michael Muschamp, both of Independence Village, were also injured in the accident and are listed as stable at the Belmopan Hospital. Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
