Muffles College High School Teacher Asked to Resigned Over Nude Pictures

Nude pictures are at the centre of a dispute between a teacher and the administration of Muffles College High School. News Five has learned from several sources that nude pictures of a female teacher were leaked in December 2018. The administration of the school got wind of it and reportedly approached the teacher, giving her the choice to resign and go quietly. But the fourth form teacher flatly denied that request and has decided to challenge the school. This is where it gets complicated for the school because it does not have the power or authority to fire the teacher. The only body which has the power to do so is the Teaching Services Commission and that is not a quick process. The school must first gather its evidence and present it before the Commission which would then take actions and consider all evidence before making a decision. We are told that the teacher has consulted a lawyer and so has the school. The teacher in question has been placed on administrative leave. She has been teaching at Muffles College High School for ten years. We contacted the school’s principal, Margaret Johnson, for comment. At the time of the request, she told News Five that she was in a meeting, but told us “Among other school matters, the meeting is also to make our parents feel assured that the matter is currently under investigation.  They have been asking and they need to know that it is being investigated.” We’ll keep following this story.
