New Year’s eve robbery suspect charged
The Belize City man who allegedly chanced a police constable on New Year’s eve has been apprehended. Nineteen-year-old Kareem Barona of Dunn Street was arrested and charged on Thursday with the crime of robbery. P.C. Ronald Vernon claims that while off duty on Hyde’s Lane in the wee hours of January first, Barona became abusive, threw a bicycle at him and then ripped a gold chain off his neck.
