Police looking for leads into recent violent crimes
There were two murders and an attempted armed robbery over the past Labour Day weekend. And tonight, Officer in Charge of the C.I.B., Superintendent Julio Valdez told News Five that the Department is working on some leads, but there have been no arrests yet. The first incident occurred last Thursday when twenty-seven year old Ryan Walker was shot several times to the right temple shortly after leaving his home on Zericote Street in the Saint Martin De Porres Area. Minutes later Walker was found dead in his Toyota Camry car on Gyles Street. The other murder victim was nineteen year old Glenford Audinette of Mahogany Street. Audinette was allegedly fleeing from an attacker when he was shot twice; to the back and right side of the neck on Ebony Street. And the third incident was the attempted robbery of the Western Union Offices on Regent Street. Three armed bandits attempted to jack the money transfer businesses but were stopped by a security guard stationed on duty inside. In the cross fire, three persons were injured: a security guard posted outside, a patron and a police officer.
