2 Teens Raped in Separate Incidents

Police say two minors were raped in separate incidents and the men accused are in police custody. On Sunday sometime after seven in the night, a fifteen-year-old girl was raped by a man she knows in Orange Walk. In the other incident, a thirteen-year-old reported to police that on Valentine’s Day a man she is familiar with forced himself on her. ACP Joseph Myvett tells us more.

“Sometime around six p.m., while she was at home alone. Her home was entered by someone whom she knew and forcefully pushed her into a room and had sexual intercourse with her against her will. That person is in custody pending charges in relation to this investigation. Additionally, there is another case in Benque of a similar nature of a thirteen-year-old female accompanied by her mother visited the police station and reported that on Thursday, fourteenth of February, sometime around seven p.m. she was in her yard in a house. A man she knows by a first name approached her and entered the build and had sexual intercourse with her. That person is also in custody pending charges at this time.”
