One dead, another critical in stabbing incident

An early evening fight in Ladyville has left one man dead, another hospitalized and three more in police custody. According to police, eighteen year old Garett Betancourt of Flamboyant Crescent in Ladyville got into a fight with twenty-five year old Francis Bustamante of Lord’s Bank Village. Someone pulled out a knife and when the dust cleared, Betancourt had sustained a fatal stab wound. Reports are that upon hearing what happened to Betancourt, his brothers rushed to the scene and inflicted multiple stab wounds to Bustamante. Betancourt was later transported to the K.H.M.H. where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Meanwhile, Bustamante remains in the hospital tonight in a critical condition. Police have since detained the three brothers, but no charges have yet been filed.
