Belizean Busted in Burbank for Stealing Batteries

A Belizean woman was arrested by Burbank Police in the U.S. for stealing car batteries. Twenty-seven-year-old Julie Perez and twenty-eight-year-old Long Beach resident Devontie Banner were both arrested for allegedly stealing car batteries from vehicles at senior living facilities in Burbank City, California. Online reports say that on Friday evening, Burbank Police pulled them over for not having a front license plate. The car was impounded and inside the trunk of the car, police found twenty car batteries. According to the report, a few minutes after the duo was detained, the department began receiving calls from nearby citizens reporting the theft of their car batteries. Perez and Banner are being held on a twenty-thousand dollars bond and are due in court on Tuesday. The batteries were returned to all twenty victims.
