2 Guatemalans believed killed in fight with BDF

This report just arrived by fax and I will read it verbatim. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports that three of four Guatemalan Nationals who attacked a Belize Defence Force patrol near San Vicente Village in the Toledo District today were shot. There are two possible fatalities as a result. Belize’s Ambassador to the Republic of Guatemala Moises Cal is in communication with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Guatemala, inviting that government’s participation in a joint investigation of the circumstances surrounding the incident. We have no other information on this incident, but will no doubt cover it fully on tomorrow’s newscast.
