Two charged with attempted murder in PG
Police say that while they have made arrests and charged two men for the shooting that happened prior to the double murder on Monday in Punta Gorda, they have not yet established what motivated that shooting. Two men on bicycles, Adwan Usher and Albert Valentine fired several shots at two persons. The duo was slapped with charges of attempted murder and grievous harm, among others. A.C.P. “In reference to the Queen Street daylight shooting in Punta Gorda, Police have since arrested and charged Adwan Usher, twenty-seven-year-old of Punta Gorda, for two counts of aggravated assault, one count of attempted murder in relation to another incident in which he was involved; several other counts including grievous harm for which he has since been charged today and will be taken to court. Additionally, his partner at the time, Albert Valentine, has since been arrested and charged for possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition and two counts of aggravated assault. Police investigations in Punta Gorda continue as we speak and there are several other charges pending for persons in relation to those crimes that have been committed in that area.”
