Several Persons Detained for Clinton Pou’s Shooting

Today police say that they may have Clinton Pou’s shooters in custody. Several persons were detained for the shooting that left Pou with injuries to his left hand and chest. Sometime after five on Sunday evening, the twenty-two-year-old man was inside his house on North Front Street in Belize City when two men walked inside and fired shots at him.

“Since yesterday we had detained several persons and an investigation is ongoing. We believe, we are pretty much certain that by the end of the day there will be charges levied on at least two of those persons detained.”

“Mr. Pou had told investigators that he couldn’t identify his shooter any at all. How is it is that the investigation has taken a turn now that somebody is in custody for this particular case?”

“Well, the investigation assisted in identifying suspects. We did receive a statement from Mr. Pou and the investigation then yielded these suspects. And there is enough evidence for us to proceed and charge these persons.”
