2 Robbers Still Hospitalized; 1 Suspect Claims Wrongful Detention

On Wednesday, a number of cops were honored for the capturing of six robbers who held up money changers at the northern border a week ago. Those cops happened to be in the area on a separate mission when they were alerted of the robbery. Of the robbers they detained, four have already been slapped with a slew of charges and the other two are still in the hospital recovering from injuries sustained during the exchange with police.  Today, head of the CIB Joseph Myvett shares the latest on that story and responds to allegations made by one of the suspect’s family.

“No additional charges have been levied yet against the other two persons who have not yet been charged.”

“Are they still hospitalized?”

ACP Joseph Myvett

“Yes they are.”

Reporter

“Now, sir, a recent allegation has been brought from the family of the accused, particularly, Mr. Zandon Myers. Now, he was detained the day after and not intercepted on the day of the crime itself. Can you confirm?”

ACP Joseph Myvett

“Yes, indeed he was being sought immediately after the robbery. And he was caught sometime, I cannot confirm whether it was the other day, but yes he was being sought.”

Reporter

“Well, the root of that counter altercation of the family is that he was not connected to this particularly robbery.”

ACP Joseph Myvett

“Well, the evidence will show otherwise. Once the evidence is put together that will be determined.”
