Fake SIB Website Abound

There is a fake S.I.B. website and officials at the institute are warning users and the public not to trust the data on it. During its quarterly press conference today, Deputy Director General Diana Castillo-Trejo told the media that the website has been stealing their information and posting it. She warns that the data can be manipulated.

“This website you will note if you come across you will notice that is does not have our logo on it. That is not an official SIB workshop. The web address of our site is www.sib.org.bz. We will be sending out an advisory very shortly to our users and to the general public just to advice because I have no idea why anyone would want to do something like that but it is out there. We want to make sure that our users and the public can actually find the official SIB data when they are in need of it.”
