Fight over Woman Leads to Stabbing in Seine Bight
A dispute over a woman led to bloodshed in Seine Bight on Tuesday. Police say that a couple was walking when they came under attack by a man. The perpetrator was reportedly jealous of the relationship and had a beef with the man. Placencia police were called out to the village. ACP Joseph Myvett says that one of the men has been detained pending investigation.

“Upon police arrival on the scene, they met one Walton Slusher who was engaged in a fight with Michael Guzman. During the altercation, Guzman received a stab wound to the side of the abdomen while Walton Slusher received varying degrees of injuries. Initial investigation revealed that Walton Slusher was in the company of Rita Leslie and they were walking in a dark area after socializing when they were met by Guzman who approached them and started an argument. In the process, Leslie also received a cut wound over one of her eyes. Police have since detained Walton Slusher pending investigation while Guzman is admitted at the southern regional hospital in a stable condition. From the account given to the police Michael Guzman seems to be the ex-boyfriend of Ms. Leslie.”
Police say that they have nothing to suggest that the men knew each other or that they have had a previous altercation.
