ACP Joseph Myvett, Head, National Crimes Investigation Branch

“The issue of the Penner fatal RTA that had occurred in Spanish Lookout over the weekend, charges are liked to be laid in relation to that against the driver. Those charges will are likely to be manslaughter by negligence. I am not able to say if there are going to be additional charges. In relation to the other traffic accidents one on the southern highway where William burke was the driver which happened between miles twenty and twenty on the southern highway, charges are likely either today or tomorrow in relation to that fatal traffic accident. In relation to the accident at miles twenty-five on the Hummingbird Highway, the driver Abram Froes was served with notice of intended prosecution. That file is being prepared to be forwarded to the public prosecution in order her to make her determination.”
