Crispin Jefferies takes over as COMPOL next Monday

The announced shake up within the ranks of the Police Department is about to come on stream. Next Monday, a press briefing will be held at the Raccoon Street Police Station in Belize City where the Minister of National Security, Carlos Perdomo, will officially present Assistant Commissioner of Police Crispin Jeffries with the baton as the new Commissioner of Police. The other promotions are James Magdaleno, Miguel Segura and David Henderson as senior superintendents and Elodio Aragon and Noel Leal to superintendents. Allen Whylie, who was next in line to become ComPol, will in turn replace current C.E.O. of National Security Brigadier General Lloyd Gillett. An early retirement was agreed to by the outgoing ComPol, Gerald Westby.
