Several injured in weekend accident

A traffic accident on the Western Highway over the weekend has left a number of people injured. According to forty-five year old Mario Sabido, he was driving his Toyota 4-Runner towards Belmopan around 5:30 Saturday evening when he noticed a car coming from the opposite direction, apparently out of control. Sabido says he tried to avoid a collision but crashed head on with the car. His three passengers, forty-two year old Yolanda Sabido, thirteen year old Blanca Sabido and seven year old Apollo Cuevas sustained various injuries, but have been released from hospital. The driver of the other vehicle, Calvin Young, was in an unconscious state when he was transported to the K.H.M.H., but is reportedly in a stable condition tonight. Thirty-two year old Hilda Linarez, who was travelling with Young, broke both her legs, while seven year old Caesar Alex sustained lacerations to the face in the accident.
