Fire Destroys Maragarita’s Cool Spot in San Jose, Toledo

Turning to crime…A bar in San Jose, Toledo burnt down earlier this week. Police say that Margarita’s Cool Spot was completely destroyed by fire around twelve-thirty on Tuesday morning. Today ACP Joseph Myett told reporters that they suspect that the property may have been intentionally set on fire.

“Police were called to San Jose village in the Toledo District, where upon arrival a thatch building was seen completely destroyed by fire. It was reported to the police that Margarita Pop locked up and secured her building around ten p.m. and thereafter went to sleep in the same yard, as there are three buildings in the yard. Sometime around twelve-thirty in the morning she was awaken by her son that the building which houses Margarita’s Cool Spot was on fire. As a result, herself along with other neighbours tried to extinguish the fire and was able save the adjoining building to the bar. The building doesn’t have any electricity and at this time arson is being suspected. At this time we are following several leads however we do not have any named suspect as yet.”
